First, open a Matter by clicking the Matter Entity on the left side and choosing your Matter.
Next, click Activities toward the top of the screen.
Next, click the + button and choose Email.
This will bring up the Email form. Note that it will auto-fill the From field with your name, but we’ll need to fill in the rest manually.
In the To field, type in a name or click the magnifying glass and choose one of the options. Note that you can specify by Record Type in case you get too many options. Click Record Type (not pictured) and choose User or Contact to cull the options somewhat. If putting in a new address, you’ll need to make a New Contact.
Enter the Subject.
Next, put in the Email Body as you would with any Email.
Finally, click Send.
