There are instances where, while in the Security section of Advanced Settings, you won’t see your newly-added User available to set Roles and Resource Types. This is because the default view for Users in some Environments is set to only show Users who already have a Resource Type assigned. You can use this method to assign a Resource Type to a new User without needing to go to the Security section of the Advanced Settings.

First, click the Advanced Find filter on the top, right.

Then click the dropdown, find Users (alphabetical order) and finally click Results.

Here, find your new User and click their Name.

Scroll down to the Resource Type section and choose a Resource Type for them.

Then click Save.

Now that they’ve had a Resource Type added, you’ll see them show up in the Security section of Advanced Settings menu for setting Roles and managing other aspects of their User Profile!
