Nearly every aspect of Curo365 use can actually be done through Outlook with the use of the Dynamics365 App that will appear at the top right of your Outlook window. If you don’t see the button below, you may not have had the App enabled yet. For a guide on enabling the Dynamics365 App for Outlook, click here.

The Dymamics365 App icon will look like this:

You may also need to click the small arrow on the right side of your screen to make it appear to expand your top options.

What It Is

The Dynamics365 App is most often used to link Emails that are sent to your Outlook account to the appropriate Matter in Curo365. But it can also be used to create Tasks, Invoices and even whole Matters as a few examples.

To begin using the App, select an Email and then choose the Dynamics365 App icon on the top right of the screen.

*NOTE* - If you’d like the App to stay open all the time, you can actually Pin it by clicking the small Thumbtack Icon on the top right. Doing this will keep the App open rather than closing once you’ve exited the specific Email.

Once an Email has been selected, you can choose the Three Lines icon on the top left of the App interface and find some more options. Depending on how your firm has set some things early during Implementation, you may see more or fewer options here.

Clicking Matters or any other aspect of this interface will be nearly identical to clicking the same tool or Entity in Curo365 in terms of functionality, with the only real differences being in possible layout changes.

Tracking an Email

Tracking, in this instance, means two things:

a) When working in Curo365, you’ll see all emails that have been tracked in the program, as one of the main draws of Curo365 is keeping everything in the same place (Tasks, Account Notes, Time Entries and even Emails)

b) You can ensure that all future Emails that come in regarding this Matter will be automatically accessible in the Matter without having to go back and Track each one, every time.

Let’s Track an Email now!

To track an Email, first choose the email and then click the Home in the Dynamics App. This will take you to the base features for the App.

Next, click the Set Regarding box

And type in a Record to which you’d like to Track this email or choose from the list that auto-populates.

*NOTE* - A Record, in this case, can be a Matter, a Contact or even a Invoice, but even though you can set this email to any of those Records, it usually advised that set the Regarding to a Matter. This will be where most people expect to find Tracked Emails.

Once a Matter is selected, the screen will say Processing, please wait… for just a moment,

followed by a green success message that says Tracker regarding.

Once the Email is Tracked within Curo365, you’ll see a small Rectangle on the right side of that Email indicating a successful Track, shown here.

In case you made a mistake with the Track, you can Untrack by clicking the Ellipses on the top right and choosing Change Regarding to set it to a different Matter or choosing Untrack to stop the Track altogether.

Otherwise, these Emails will now be tracked within the actual Matter!

Creating Appointments

One more very handy aspect of the Dynamics365 App in Outlook is the ability to make appointments that automatically sync back to your Calendar.

To do this, first start by clicking the + button on the top. If you don’t see Appointments, click Activities

and then click Appointments.

Here, you can fill in the fields with the info that you need. Also, be sure to fill in all of the fields with Red Asterixis, as these are required before Saving and Closing.

When created, this meeting will automatically appear on your Outlook Calendar (after a Sync, which could take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on your system preferences).
